The Operational Stream of the SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management is designed to equip international students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage day-to-day hospitality operations. Elevare has the following course entry requirements: International students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have an IELTS* score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old).
  • Completed Australian Year 12 or its overseas equivalent or an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Certificate III or higher

Work Placement

Students will be required to complete a work placement of a minimum 144 hours within an approved functioning commercial establishment as detailed in the assessment requirements of the unit SITHIND008 Work effectively in hospitality service

This unit is completed in Term 8. Student are required to complete 20 hours per week of work placement for 8 weeks that requires the completion of 36 service periods.

Delivery Mode

  • Students are required to attend 20 hours of training and assessment per week which includes structured self-study learning per week.
  • Additional self-directed study is expected to be approximately 5 hours a week
  • Mandatory work placement in an approved work placement venue.

The programme is 104 weeks in length (80 weeks of training and 24 weeks of holidays)
